A malleable natural stone.
StucDeco is a hard, joint-free plaster with a mineral-like appearance — a decorative finish that mimics mineral concrete, with subtle variations in tone. Think of it as a malleable natural stone: elegant, dense and easy to live with.
Its look ranges from a smooth, glossy tadelakt-style finish to a matt, more nuanced granito-style surface. StucDeco is built from several layers of stucco paste applied one over another and, if desired, polished — which gives it a silky feel and reveals a wider range of colour nuances.
It is a mineral system: made from lime and cement, coloured on site with Stoopen & Meeûs powder pigments, and applied entirely by hand. As with every mineral finish, the final result depends on the craftsman, the substrate and the light — so we always make a sample first.
Matt or polished.
The same plaster reads two ways — a matt, mineral surface, or polished to a silky sheen that deepens its colour and nuance.

- Composition
- A high-end decorative mineral plaster made from lime and cement, in powder form. Several layers of stucco paste are applied one over another and, where wanted, polished — a film-forming, easy-to-maintain, scratch- and water-resistant finish.
- Equipment
- StucPrimer for adhesion (a waterproofing coat in wet rooms) and a suitable topcoat — PU StucVarnish 2K, Uniwall 1KPU Matt or Uniwall Wax. Tools: a mechanical mixer, clean water and a Venetian or Japanese trowel.
- Protection
- The topcoat is chosen for the wear the surface will see: PU StucVarnish (2KPU) for heavy use such as floors, shower walls and worktops; Uniwall 1KPU or Uniwall Wax for decorative surfaces; Stuc HardWaxOil for floors and walls in non-white colours. Representative tests are always carried out first.
- Where it's used
- For walls, ceilings, floors, worktops and stairs — including bathrooms and showers — on dry, solid, stable, grease-free substrates. Suitable for concrete, screed, existing tiles, worktops, MDF and sound old paint. High-quality workmanship is essential to the result.
